Manuscript Submission Guidelines
Thank you for considering BLD Ventures for your manuscript. Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your work.
1. What We Are Looking For
At BLD Ventures, we are actively seeking original, thought-provoking, and well-crafted manuscripts in the following categories:
- Literary Fiction: Character-driven stories with distinct voices and compelling narratives.
- Non-Fiction: Biographies, memoirs, history, politics, and social sciences.
- Poetry: Collections that explore deep emotional and societal themes.
- Academic & Educational: Well-researched texts intended for higher education or professional reference.
Note: We currently accept submissions in English, Hindi, and select regional languages.
2. Formatting Standards
To ensure our editorial team can properly review your work, please adhere to these industry-standard formatting rules:
- Font: Use a standard 12-point font (Times New Roman, Arial, or Courier). Do not use decorative fonts.
- Spacing: Double-space your entire manuscript.
- Margins: Maintain standard 1-inch margins on all sides.
- Page Numbers: Include page numbers in the header or footer of your document.
- File Type: We only accept digital submissions in Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) or PDF format.
3. What to Include in Your Submission
A complete submission must include the following components. Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.
A. Cover Letter
A brief, professional introduction. Include your contact information, the genre of your book, word count, and a short paragraph explaining why you are submitting to BLD Ventures.
B. Synopsis
A concise summary of your book (maximum 500-800 words). For fiction, reveal the entire plot including the ending. For non-fiction, outline the core argument and chapter structure.
C. Sample Chapters
Please submit only the first three (3) chapters or approximately the first 50 pages of your manuscript. Do not send the entire manuscript unless explicitly requested by an editor.
4. Review Process & Timeline
Due to the high volume of submissions we receive, our review process takes time. Please allow 8 to 12 weeks for our editorial board to evaluate your proposal.
- If we are interested in reading more, we will contact you to request the full manuscript.
- If you do not hear from us within 12 weeks, please assume that we have decided to pass on your project at this time.
- We cannot provide individualized editorial feedback on rejected submissions.
